GET THE RIGHT SET-UP
STEP 1
SHIN GUARDS - the first step in your football kit setup we recommend sleeve (preferably with a pocket) or integrated. While some still prefer strap fixings, they can move about during play, constrict the calf and the strap become slack over time.Shin guards with a built-in ankle guard, stirrup & strap fixings are our least favourite option as they tend to interfere with the boot setup.However, the G-Form Ankle Guard is recommended if you want the shin and achilles protection. With a lower profile - this guard performs well with all boot types and incorporates the G-Form SmartFlex technology.
STEP 2
GRIP SOCKS - We highly recommend that you include grip socks as a standard element of your overall setup.We have been told directly by players and professional sports men and women (including those guys with whack-bats) that the TapeDesign Grip Socks are the best in the business.

STEP 3
FOOTLESS SOCKS - Keep it tidy with purpose made footless socks to compliment the Grip Sock setup.
Grip Socks must make contact with the inside of the boot to be effective - so can't be worn inside a normal sock.
Alternatively, we offer a free sock-cut service when you purchase your TapeDesign Grip Socks from Soccer United. Bring in your playing socks, and we remove the foot, and over-lock the hem to stop any fraying.
STEP 4
ASSESS THE SURFACE - Choose the right boot on the day.We highly recommend having a pair of FG (Firm Ground) AND a pair of SG (Soft Ground) in your football kit setup.If the pitch is slippery and/or soft - go with your SGs.If its been dry and the pitch hasn't got much give - then go with your FGs.
It can make all the difference to your game on the day.
